Socialized medicine has meant rationed care and lack of innovation. Small wonder Canadians are looking to the market.
Answers:
1It could happen. Right now, when the pay is too poor, docs just do not keep taking Medicaid or Medicare or even the incredibly poor paying private health insurance plans and you can't blame them.
I heard an OB/GYN within the last year state that United Health would pay her $27 to see a patient on an office visit. Even if the patient's copay is $30, that's not much money and there is only so fast you can do a GYN office visit. She said she wouldn't be taking them anymore (United Health patients) and I can understand why.
MY OB/GYN stopped taking EVERY insurance--tired of the low, slow pay.
